So was he able to actually do any 10xing at multiple startups, or was he really just scamming people??

According to the X feed, he couldn’t deliver. It seems it was too much for him. Companies kept firing him, and he was constantly searching for another job. It was an ongoing cycle

It's bad management. If my people aren't producing I should know. If they are delivering what I am paying them for while they moonlight well frankly I don't care. If I did I should pay them more and expect more.

Engineering is easy for some folks and they can hold down multiple jobs and still get positive performance reviews. They come out far ahead of employees who pick one company, because they’re diversified.

Yes, there are definitely such engineers. If they can deliver the expected results, then there’s no issue with them. However, Soham couldn’t deliver, he ghosted employees after receiving the offer. It was a form of scamming. The founders had to fire him
